Women of Light

Portraits of the Companions promised Paradise

The stories of the Sahabiyyāt are not distant history. They are spiritual blueprints. In every one of them, we find echoes of ourselves: seekers, carers, teachers, protectors, believers.

Through this course, you’ll learn not only about their lives, but through them, come to know:

  • What faith looks like when lived through hardship and joy

  • What feminine dignity means in a prophetic frame

  • How women shaped the earliest Islamic community

Whether you join to reconnect with your faith, deepen your knowledge, or simply sit in the company of remarkable women, Women of Light offers a space of reflection, depth, and clarity.

Authentic Knowledge from Qualified Female Scholars

All programs at Katiba Collective are taught by female scholars trained locally and authorised in the Islamic sciences, ensuring that you receive authentic, traditional Islamic knowledge in a structured and engaging setting (get to know more about this course's deliverer here).
This self-contained course only needs your preparation and presence, there are no exams or assignments. Each session includes required pre-readings to ensure you arrive ready to engage deeply with the lives and legacies of the women studied.

Why Take the Women of Light Course?

Learn Through Legacy: Discover the lives of over two dozen women who walked alongside the Prophet ﷺ - leaders, mothers, teachers, and believers whose stories still speak to the heart today.

Fiqh in Context: Where relevant, explore essential rulings as they naturally arise in the lives of these women, giving you practical Islamic knowledge grounded in lived experience.

Beyond Biography: Go deeper than names and dates. This course uncovers the psychology, wisdom, and spiritual substance behind the choices these women made.

Taught by Female Scholars: All sessions are delivered by qualified female scholars trained in the Islamic sciences, offering depth, authenticity, and a uniquely feminine lens.

No Exams, No Pressure: This course is reflective, educational, and practical; simply come prepared through pre-readings and engage with the material and stories during each session.
