The following educators and contributors deliver various courses and events through Katiba Collective. All are grounded in Islamic scholarship and committed to meaningful, relevant teaching.
Rahmah Ilahee
Rahmah Ilahee is a classically trained Islamic scholar, educator, and course developer based in Melbourne. She began her formal studies at Darul Ulum College of Victoria over 15 years ago and advanced to specialise in Islamic jurisprudence and legal verdicts (iftāʾ) under Mufti Abdur-Rahman Mangera and Mufti Zubair Patel (UK). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and certifications in counselling and coaching, bringing together classical scholarship with contemporary educational practice, and currently teaches the Sacred Sciences to advanced students of Islamic scholarship.
As the founding director of Katiba Collective, she leads the development of programs and resources that translate the depth of the Islamic intellectual tradition into thoughtful, real-world application.
Sofia Mirza
Sofia Mirza is a classically trained Islamic scholar who began her formal Islamic studies over 12 years ago at Darul Ulum College of Victoria. She later completed advanced training in Islamic law under Mufti Tosir Miah through Darul Ilm, Birmingham (UK), becoming the first Australian woman to specialise in Islamic jurisprudence and legal verdicts (iftāʾ) within the Deobandi tradition.
Alongside her Islamic scholarship, she is completing a Bachelor of Law, integrating insights from both Sacred and secular legal traditions.
Huda Abbasi
Huda Abbasi is a classically trained Islamic scholar based in Melbourne. Since graduating from the six-year ʿālimah program at Darul Ulum College of Victoria, she has been actively involved in teaching and community education across a range of settings, driven by a deep passion for community work and helping Muslims remain connected to Allah ﷻ in their everyday lives. She is one of the few female scholars in Melbourne who has specialised in the detailed fiqh of menstruation (ḥayḍ), regularly assisting women in navigating complex personal rulings in this area.
At Katiba Collective, she is popular for her teaching style marked by clarity and comprehensiveness, making Sacred knowledge accessible for students of all backgrounds.
Hafsa Ahmad
Hafsa Ahmad is a classically trained Islamic scholar, school teacher, youth mentor, and mother of two. She is a graduate of the ʿālimah program at Darul Ulum College of Victoria and holds a Bachelor of Primary Education alongside certifications in life coaching and health and nutrition.
She brings over a decade of experience working with children and young people in both educational and mentoring settings, with particular experience supporting teenage girls. Currently, she teaches high school Islamic Studies, mentors young girls through halaqahs and workshops, and develops Islamically grounded educational resources for homeschooling families in Australia.
Humda Siddiqui
Humda Siddiqui is a graduate of the ʿĀlimah program at Darul Ulum College of Victoria and a seasoned mother of four. She is passionate about supporting women’s spiritual, emotional, and physical wellbeing—integrating traditional Islamic principles with insights from modern science.
Her work centres on helping women reconnect with their sacred identity and navigate life as purposeful, contemporary Muslims.
Omaima Farid
Omaima Farid is a classical trained Islamic scholar based in Sydney, who has been dedicated to studying and teaching the Islamic Sciences for over 11 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed her formal Islamic studies at Madrasa Ayesha Siddiqua, a prestigious institute in Pakistan. Over the years, she has taught in a range of institutions across Karachi, Sydney, and Melbourne, combining her grounding in traditional scholarship with an understanding of human behaviour and wellbeing.
